The ADAM Stake Pool

The Crypto Land founded the ADAM Stake Pool

The ADAM Stakepool has been wound up as it was no longer sustainable with the extensive updates the backend required.  The CryptoLand recommends the AD ASTRA Stakepool of which you can find on the CryptoLand home page.

Thanks for showing your intest and we'll let you know when we're up and running again.

Happy staking :-)

What is Staking ?

ADA Held on the Cardano network represents a stake in the network, with the size of the stake proportional to the amount of ADA held. The ability to delegate or pledge a stake is fundamental to how Cardano works.
There are two ways an ADA  holder can earn rewards: by delegating their stake to a stake pool run by someone else, or by running their own stake pool. The latter requires a lot of background work and initial capital, while the former is a simple as selecting a pool from drop down menu in your ADA wallet.
The amount of stake delegated to a given stake pool is the primary way the Ouroboros protocol (created by Cardano) chooses who should add the next block to the blockchain, and receive a monetary reward for doing so.
The more stake is delegated to a stake pool (up to a certain point), the more likely it is to make the next block – and the rewards that it earns are shared between everyone who delegated their stake to that stake pool.

What is a Stake Pool ?

StakePools may be either public or private. A public ADA stake pool is a Cardano network node with a public address that other users can delegate to, and subsequently receive rewards (free ADA) for doing so. Private stake pools only deliver rewards to their owners while public pools share the rewards with everyone with in it.
For a stake pool to be successful it must be run by a reliable operator (ie, an individual or business with the knowledge and resources to run the node on a consistent basis). ADA holders can delegate to public stake pools (such as the ADAM Stake Pool) if they wish to participate in the protocol and receive rewards, but do not wish to go through the headache of operating a Cardano network node by themselves.
The more stake that is delegated to a stake pool (ie, the more ADA staked), the greater chance it has of being selected as a slot leader. Each time it is selected and produces a block that is accepted onto the blockchain, it is rewarded, and these rewards are shared between the stake pool operator and stake pool delegators.

Security

The AD ASTRA has been built with the robust privacy and security that you deserve. A sound and decentralised backend,built-in accordance with the vision of the Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson, ensures that you will never lose control of your coins that are rightfully yours.

Low fees

The ADAM StakePool boasts one of the lowest fees in the Cardano community. The Crypto Land is not driven by profits as it has no stakeholders, no overhead expenses and no desire to extract your hard-earned money from your wallet. Too many people are losing out from hidden fees that quickly add up. In the ADAM Stake Pool, this is never an issue with fees at just 1.5% until complete saturation is reached at which time it will never go higher than just 3%.

Simplicity

Life is Complicated Enough without the need to confuse things in an ADA stakepool. With ADAM, you simply hold your ADA in your Yoroi wallet, select the ADAM Stake Pool, and that it. Once staked, you simply enjoy the rewards with no deposit or withdrawal fees, penalties for ending a stake, contracts to sign, or any other obligations to create stress, uncertainty or additional work. Stake or end-stake as much or as little ADA as you like when ever you like, for as long as you like. This is how crypto is meant to be and how the ADAM Stake Pool ensures it will be.

When do I get paid my rewards?

Rewards are Paid out every Epoch which occurs every five days. Keep in mind however, when you first delegate to a stakepool (any stakepool) there is an initial delay between your first stake and your first reward (typically 15 to 20 days).  Once this time has passed, you’re all set to enjoy your staking rewards to be paid every five days.  Don’t forget also, your staking rewards compound with the ADAM Stake Pool fast tracking your Cardano moon ride.
