What is Kaspa (KAS)?

Kaspa (KAS) is a community-driven, open-source cryptocurrency project. It utilises the GHOSTDAG protocol to enable high block rates with minimal confirmation times. The Kaspa platform includes a unique monetary policy known as the chromatic phase, which decreases emissions geometrically over time based on the 12-note scale of music.
 

• GHOSTDAG is a directed acyclic graph of blocks (blockDAG) that processes all blocks in parallel.
• Kaspa’s consensus protocol allows for a throughput of 1 block per second (bps), with the team aiming to reach 10 to 100 bps.
• KAS is the native token of the platform and is used to secure the Kaspa network, as well as incentivising miners.

Kaspa’s goal is to solve the problems of traditional blockchains by improving block rates while maintaining security, leading to faster and more efficient transaction processing.
